Executive Board
Laurel Paul
As President, Laurel Paul leads the SGA Executive Board and serves as a connection between students and university leadership. She works closely with deans, faculty, administrators, and campus partners to strengthen student representation, address student concerns, and build stronger communication across the university. She chairs the outreach committee at SGA and also helps guide SGA’s priorities and works to ensure students have a voice in conversations and decisions that impact their experience at CSU.
Ali Khater
As Vice President, Ali Khater helps strengthen SGA’s connection with student organizations across campus. He focuses on building relationships, sharing important information and resources, and helping organizations stay connected with SGA while also supporting broader SGA initiatives and student engagement as he chairs the student experience committee.
Tasnuba Akhter
As Treasurer, Tasnuba Akhter oversees SGA’s finances and helps ensure funds are used responsibly to support students and campus organizations. She also chairs SGA’s Finance Committee, working with student organizations to understand funding opportunities, navigate funding requests, and make effective use of SGA resources for their events and initiatives.
Nick Jankus
As Secretary, Nick Jankus supports SGA’s day-to-day administrative operations and helps the association to stay organized and informed. He maintains important records, prepares and manages meeting documentation, and helps ensure information is communicated clearly between the Executive Board, Senate, and other members of SGA.
Senators
Alexa Zgheib
As Speaker of the Senate, Alexa Zgheib leads the Senate and serves as the main point of connection between senators and the Executive Board. She helps ensure senators stay informed, supported, and accountable in carrying out their responsibilities, while also helping maintain clear communication across SGA between the senators and the E-Board. She also represents students in the Levin College of Public Affairs and Education along with the College of Graduate Studies.
Jumana Adbelghani
As the College of Engineering Senator, Jumana Abdelghani represents engineering students and brings their concerns, ideas, and needs to SGA. She serves as a connection between students and SGA, helping make sure their perspectives are included in conversations and initiatives that affect their college experience.
Gisela Cortez
As the Monte Ahuja College of Business Senator, Gisela Cortez represents business students and works to make sure their voices and concerns are heard within SGA. She helps connect student organizations with SGA resources, shares feedback and events happening from and within her college, and advocates for issues that matter to business students.
Adel Zaid Alkilani
As a Senator-at-Large, Adel Zaid Alkilani represents the broader student body and helps bring student concerns and ideas to SGA. He also serves as a point of contact for students in the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Honors College and College of Law, helping ensure both communities have representation and support.
Nicholas Kolbe
As a Monte Ahuja College of Business Senator, Nicholas Kolbe represents business students and helps communicate their concerns, ideas, and priorities to SGA. He is more student-facing and works to strengthen communication between students and SGA while helping ensure business students remain informed, represented, and connected.
Kayla Moore-Adams
As a Senator-at-Large, Kayla Moore-Adams represents students across the university while focusing on housing and residential life. She also serves students in the College of Arts and Sciences, helping bring forward their concerns, ideas, and experiences while connecting them with SGA resources and support.
