We are a dedicated staff of psychologists, social workers, counselors, psychiatrists and graduate trainees working together to provide counseling services filled with caring, respect and confidentiality. 

We support and empower our diverse student community with psychological services designed to help you navigate toward your personal and academic goals. 

We offer a variety of services including:

• Short-term individual therapy
• Group therapy
• Psychiatric consultation
• Referral for long-term therapy
• Outreach and prevention services
• Services offered in-person or by telehealth

Our services are free, except for a small fee for psychiatric services. Sessions are strictly confidential except in unusual circumstances such as life-threatening situations.

Schedule a screening to get started. The first step in getting connected to the Counseling Center or the Counseling and Academic Success Clinic is to complete a 25 minute referral screening over the phone. The counselor will learn about your main concerns and connect you with support options tailored to your needs. This could be group therapy, individual therapy, campus resources, a referral to an off-campus provider, etc.

LOCATIONS: 

The Counseling Center is located in Rhodes Tower on the 12th floor (RT1235), 1860 E 22nd Street. Take the elevator from the lobby in the first floor and follow the signs from the 12th floor when you exit the elevator.

The Counseling and Academic Success Clinic (CASC) is located in Julka Hall on the 2nd floor (JH210), 2485 Euclid Avenue. Take the elevator or stairs from the lobby to the second floor on the south or Euclid side of the building. 

OFFICE HOURS:  Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The Counseling Center is open year round. CASC is open during Fall and Spring semesters only.

WALK-IN HOURS at RT1235: Monday-Friday, 1-3 p.m.

If you are in urgent distress, walk-in sessions are available from 1–3 p.m. Monday through Friday in Rhodes Tower RT1235. At these times, you should be able to talk with a counselor shortly after you call or walk in. If you are in crisis outside these times, but within 9 a.m.–5 p.m., please be in touch and we will work to get the first counselor available to meet with you. ACCREDITATION: The Counseling Center is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services Incorporated (IACS), and our Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology is Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association.
