CSU Credit For Prior Learning: Noncredit Coursework

At Cleveland State University, we recognize that learning happens everywhere, including on the job, in the military, through professional certifications, and through independent study. Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) offers an opportunity to explore whether the knowledge and skills you’ve gained could qualify for college credit, potentially saving you time and money as you work toward your degree.

Pathways to Possibilities

Lifelong learning can expand what's possible. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that higher educational attainment is generally associated with higher earnings and lower unemployment. By continuing your education, you can build on your experience, develop new skills and competencies, and prepare for changing workplace demands. Career and earning outcomes vary by industry, experience, and the learning you pursue.
